Ed O'Connor 


Owner of Adapt Athetics

Since 2010 Ed O'Connor has been involved with youth sports performance and adult training in Fort Collins, Denver, and South Metro areas.

With extensive experience in youth athletic development, and adult personal training, Ed takes innovative and functional principles to help individuals reach their athletic, health, and overall wellness potential.

With a primary focus being on cultivating adaptations to the demands of sport, exercise, and life.

Earning a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science at Colorado State University allowed Ed the opportunity to work with collegiate athletes, along with the general population as a personal trainer.

Adapt Athletics was opened July 1, 2020 with the goal of providing an exceptional training experience to the Littleton area.


Matt Atsoff


Matt has been helping people like you achieve their fitness goals for over 10 years. His philosophy around fitness is, “Movement, simply, is life. We are all some kind of athlete that requires quality movement to help fulfill our health, well being, and ultimately happiness. Whether you play a professional sport or have a desk job, moving better helps you perform better physically AND mentally.”

He grew up in Macomb Township, Michigan where playing hockey was his passion. Driven by his passion for improving his hockey performance he went to college and studied Exercise & Health Science knowing one day he wanted to help others achieve their own goals. Currently, Matt loves training himself to support various other sports skills other than hockey, especially golf.

His certifications/qualifications include:

  • Bachelors Degree in Exercise & Health Science from University of Massachusetts - Boston

  • Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA)

  • Precision Nutrition Coach (Pn1)

  • Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified Fitness Coach

  • USA Hockey Level 4 Coach - With experience coaching all levels from beginner to ‘AAA’ to professionals.

  • Minor Professional Hockey playing experience.


Taylor Surma


Taylor is a recent graduate from Longwood University with a degree in Kinesiology. He recently moved to Colorado from Richmond, Virginia. Growing up Taylor was an avid baseball player, and later played golf in high school. 

He has experience with baseball, golf, football, basketball, soccer, physical therapy, and division I athletics.

Taylor has his NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification and has also earned his CFSC (Certified Functional Strength Coach). 

In his free time, Taylor enjoys Olympic Weightlifting, Golfing, and exploring outdoors.
